Chapter 300 What's in Charles' Mind
Chapter 300 What's in Charles' Mind
Sarah felt a chill go down her spine. Amy's eyes were too cold to gaze at.
"Amy..."
"What?"
"Nothing..."
Sarah opened her mouth, but she failed to find the words to say.
Amy, sitting on her bed, swore to herself that she had to make Haley pay. This was all because of her.
Otherwise, she wouldn't break the arm and the leg.
Whoever offended her would be her enemy.
The villa of the Mu clan.
Lisa woke up early this morning. The other side of the bed was still empty.
It had been a week since Charles was home.
Lisa felt sad as she touched her belly.
Was it because she lost her baby? If not, then why did Charles give her the cold shoulder?
He used to cherish her. How could losing a baby change it all?
The whole week was a torture to her. She felt rather lonely here.
"My lady, lunch is ready. Would you like to eat now?"
The servant asked carefully when she heard that Linda was up.
Lisa agreed, and then the servant came in.
After washing up, Lisa came downstairs. In the living room, there were only she and the servants.
"Where on earth is the Young Master? When will he come back?" Lisa couldn't help but ask.
"We have no idea, my Lady. Young Master didn't tell us anything, " answered the servants with their
heads shaking.
Out of no reason, Lisa felt angry. Now that she was by Charles' side, she should have been happy.
Even though it meant that she must live in the name of Linda, she was willing to do so.
All she wanted was Charles. But what about now? How could an abortion change it all?
She had the abortion for two reasons. One was that she wanted to set Amy up. The other was that she
wanted to have a baby with Charles.
What if Charles found out that the baby was not his? Lisa dreaded to think what he would do. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
But if she could give birth to a baby, that was related to him by blood, then it would make a difference.
Maybe he would even forgive her when he found out that she wasn't the real Linda.
But it seemed that everything was out of her control now. Though she had already framed Amy up,
Amy still hadn't shown up in the Mu villa since then.
And so did Charles! He had not been home for a whole week!
The servants also noticed the difference. It seemed that Charles had lost his interest in their lady. One
of them comforted her gently, "My Lady, please don't worry. Young Master must be occupied with his
work."
Lisa, who was in a fit of anger, stared at the servant and said coldy, "Save your sympathy. I don't need
you to comfort me."
"No, my Lady, I'm afraid you misunderstood me, " answered the servant, who was shivering with fear.
He intended to comfort his young lady, but her response was rather unexpected.
"What did I misunderstand? Do you think I am deserted?"
"No, I didn't mean that, My Lady. I just worry about you, so I wanted to comfort you, to arouse your
appetite, " the servant said and dropped to his knees.
"Who told you that I lost my appetite?"
Lisa couldn't control her temper when the servant hit the spot. She sprang to her feet and slapped him.
"I'm sorry, My Lady. It's all my fault."
The servant got even more frightened and begged for forgiveness.
Lisa slapped so hard that a clear red mark was left on the servant's face.
The sob of the servant annoyed Lisa, so she kicked him down to the ground and shouted, "Be quiet,
you idiot. Go find your Young Master and bring him back."
Charles didn't come back for a week because he knew that the woman in the villa was not his beloved
wife.
He didn't want to come back, so he sent Paul there to fetch some materials.
Paul came into the villa just at the right moment.
Seeing this scene, Paul was more certain that the girl in front of him was definitely not Linda, the real
Young Lady.
Linda was always kind to others, even to the servants.
But look at this mean girl.
Paul hurried to help the servant up ."My Lady, what's the matter? Are you in a bad mood? Please don't
release your anger toward the servant."
It's not the right time to reveal her identity, so Paul remained respectful to her.
But Lisa got shocked when she saw Paul.
She worried that Paul might notice her bad-mannered behavior.
She didn't want to ruin her image in front of Paul, who was the right hand of Charles. Charles was
keeping distance from her. If Paul told him about her behavior, then Charles would hate her even more!
"Nothing, Paul. I'm just in a bad mood."
"What happened to you, My Lady?" Paul asked and then said to another servant, "Take him to the
hospital."
Obviously, Lisa had slapped and kicked him rather hard. Paul could feel that the servant was shivering
with pain.
Lisa began to complain with tears, "Paul, he hasn't been home for one week. Is he trying to abandon
me?"
Paul just smiled back and didn't utter a word. If Charles was cold to the real Linda, he woud definitely
urge him to talk to Linda. But the one in front of him was absolutely not Linda.
"My lady, I'm sorry. It's inappropriate for us servants to guess what's in Young Master's mind."
