A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 245 Making Things Easier To Handle

Chapter 245 Making Things Easier To Handle

Brian Ho had been treating her well lately and hung out with her quite often, but nothing magical had

happened as of yet. He took her to the hotel, but she had no recollection of what happened after they

checked in. Brian always told her that she was tired and soon fell asleep as soon as they got to the

hotel.

Though Sarah Shen didn't trust him entirely, she couldn't find anything unusual since every time she

woke up, Brian was there taking care of her.

Therefore, Sarah was preoccupied with enjoying Brian's attention and avoided meddling with Linda.

Besides, her father had warned her not to mess with Mu clan affairs. As a result, she led a relatively

leisurely life recently, skipping classes at the police academy and dating Brian.

Amy noticed that Sarah had zoned out.

"Sarah, what are you thinking about? Are you listening?"

Amy's question snapped her from her reverie. "What? What did you say? I'm sorry. I zoned out for a

bit."

Amy took a deep breathe and then closed her eyes. "I made a deal in exchange for Linda. The cost is

too much for me and I don't know what to do." Amy said in a harsh voice.

Sarah had a bad feeling and asked, "What's the price?"

"I have to transfer to the man, half of the Qi clan's property assets."

"Oh my god! Are you out of your mind?

Amy glanced at her and continued, "Save it! I don't need a reprimand. I need help. I wasn't thinking

clearly back then. I hated Linda so much, and that's why I agreed to the deal. In hindsight, I regret it

now. If my parents get to know about it, there will be dire consequences."

"Amy, you shouldn't have done such a thing. Obviously, it was a trap. He might have arranged the

imposter to take Linda's place within the Mu clan. That was why he had abducted the real Linda."

With Sarah's explanation, everything became clear to Amy. "That's right! Why didn't I connect the dots

together?

What should we do?" Amy was completely at a loss.

"Don't worry. Since you just gave him a verbal promise, he can't do anything to you if you don't fulfil it.

We must take our time to make careful deliberations."

At the Mu Clan's Private Hospital.

Lisa was lying on the bed, peacefully. As the baby was wrapped and wheeled away, She tried to focus

on the positive side of things. Her emotions were all over the place however.

She began to cry.

She had carried the baby for four months, and

It had been a tough decision to make to abort the baby.

But she knew it could have been a disaster if the baby was to be born.

And it was better for Lisa. At least, things would get easier for her. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Violet had been tending to Lisa. When she peeled an apple for her, she noticed the tears welling up in

her eyes and couldn't help but feel sad for her.

"Linda, here! Have a taste of the apple. Don't think too much. Let bygones be bygones. You will have

another child again sooner or later."

Lisa remained silent. Deep down, she was sad.

Violet thought Linda was in an emotional turmoil. She didn't know what to say to comfort her but divided

the apple into small parts and put them beside her.

"Violet, we should give her some time alone to rest." Seeing the anguish on Linda's face, James

heaved a deep sigh and left with Violet. He knew words were useless at that time. They couldn't

understand the pain of losing a child which could only be felt by the mother herself.

As they stepped out the ward, Violet closed the door and walked with James, hand-in-hand along the

hospital corridor.

"What a pity." She said, shaking her head.

"Yes, but it was out of our hands. I pray Linda gets another child soon." James held her hands,

comforting her. Violet looked sad. She had high hope about getting a grandchild soon, but

unexpectedly, her wishes were nipped in the bud.

She should have kept Amy at a distance, away from Linda.

"I don't think Amy pushed her. She isn't stupid enough to get herself in trouble in public even if she

wanted the baby dead."

Violet confided in James.

"She would have sent someone to do it. She isn't stupid."

"You mean Linda was lying? I don't think so. She won't have risked the life of her own child to frame

Amy."

After spending all these time with Linda, Violet was aware of her wit and kindness. She knew Linda

didn't like dishonest practices, or scheming against others but desired for a simple life.

That was why Violet accepted and embraced her as her soon-to-be daughter-in-law. She could feel her

true love for her son and not for Charles' money or position in the society.

That was the daughter-in-law she needed.

"Let us discuss this matter after Linda recovers." James continued after a brief pause.

"What's even more strange is Charles' attitude. I mean, Linda just lost a baby, and Charles is more

concerned with dealing with company affairs than taking care of her. I don't understand." Violet shook

her head in confusion and disappointment.
