Chapter 192 The Relay Race
Chapter 192 The Relay Race
Linda was quiet throughout the journey.
On the one hand, she was engaged and going to marry Charles. He was the love of her life, so she
didn't want to get close to other men, especially Robert.
On the other hand, since she didn't sleep well last night, Linda was drowsy. She leaned her head
against the window and soon, fell asleep.
When she woke up, she found a coat covering her.
Groggy from waking up, she was confused as to who's jacket it was.
When her mind cleared up, she remembered seeing Robert wearing the coat when he greeted them
that morning.
"Robert..."
Linda turned to Robert and called him in a soft voice. Then, she took off the coat and held it in her
hand. She planned to give it back to him.
Robert turned to her and smiled, "It's okay. There is a slight chill in the air. Keep yourself warm with it.
I'm fine." Linda just looked at him.
"Don't get me wrong. I just don't want you to catch cold." Robert continued speaking when he saw that
Linda was still quiet and her arm stretched out to give him the coat.
Linda had no other option, so she folded the coat neatly and placed it on her lap. She instantly
regretted why she didn't sit with Bun.
She remained silent, as the coach trudged on.
Her mind wandered to Charles and she began to worry. She wondered why Charles didn't answer her
phone call and why he did not come home.
On top of that, she wondered why he didn't come to say goodbye to her. Did something happen? Linda
thought, immediately shaking her head to banish away the thought.
No. He is okay It's just work. She muttered to herself.
Paul did say the other day, that Charles would be busy. She thought, managing to comfort herself. To
distract herself, she fished out her phone and browsed the internet for news. She indeed saw many
reports talking about the entertainment company of the Mu Group which recently recruited many stars
including international super star Sophia Liu.
It must cost Charles a lot of money to build such a partnership with international super stars.
No wonder he is busy. Linda understood now. But something nagged at her.
Linda thought that there was something weird, since he was only signing contracts with female super
stars. Jelousy crept up on her.
She decided that Charles and she deserved a weekend away together, just the two of them.
Linda's journey was not as tedious as compared to Bun's. She had been able to sleep and Robert
didn't bother her, but for Bun, she couldn't get a moment of silence to herself.
Amber kept talking to Bun. This annoyed Bun who didn't want to talk to her. So, she turned to the other
side and pretended to sleep.
Amber became bored, so she gradually fell asleep too. A few minutes later, Amber's head fell on Bun,
and saliva began to drip from her mouth to Bun's shoulder.
This made Bun furious, therefore she raised her shoulder forcefully and Amber sprang awake. "Sorry."
She said as she wiped her mouth. But to Bun those were empty words.
Amber didn't understand why Bun treated her so badly. No matter how bad Bun's attitude became,
Amber was still nice to her.
Amber turned her head and faced the road.
Her mind wandered. She thought about a lot of things, but the one thing that stuck to her mind, was RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Neither Bun nor Linda, The Lady of the Mu Clan, found out that she had framed John Lee or she might
lose her job.
What's more, she was working hard for the title of senior teacher that year.
So, she had to be careful. Amber started humming, and this infuriated Bun even more. What's her
problem? Amber thought, and resigned to ignore Bun for the rest of the journey.
Several hours later, they finally arrived at the destination for the winter camp, which was in a nearby
small city.
There was a strong wind blowing which caused Linda to sneeze when she got out of coach.
Lilian, the director, thought that it would be a good idea to carry out the first activity as soon as they
arrived at the camp. The first activity of the winter camp was a 200 meters relay race.
Teachers needed to take part in the race too.
Linda jogged every morning in college. But she hadn't jogged for a long time since she graduated,
because she couldn't get up early.
So Linda regarded the race as a chance to get some exercise.
Everyone broke up into groups to warm-up. The expressions on their faces were serious. Linda walked
up to Bun and asked, "Why are we running instead of getting our rooms, unpacking and then
undertaking the activity?"
"My Lady, this is how rooms are being assigned. Didn't Director Li tell you?" Linda looked at Bun
quizzically.
Linda now understood why everyone was taking this seriously. The outcomes of the race would
determine which room you were assigned to, and who you would spend time with as roommates for the
next 2 weeks.
After warming up, everyone swapped their clothes for team uniforms in different colors.
Linda was in the yellow team, Bun was in the blue team and Robert was in the green team.
Linda and John were in the same team. Linda was in charge of the first baton and John was in charge
of the second baton for their team.
