Jessie spoke in a cold tone at first so that she could keep her promise to Hesper.

However, when she heard how respectful Matthew was, she felt embarrassed and her tone softened.

just didn’t want to see you hurt.”

Matthew hung up then frowned.

As long as Hesper was still studying in Fredonia U, it wouldn’t be difficult for Matthew to find her at all,

so why was she trying to avoid him?
