Chapter 318 Dean and Jim feasted on Sage’s cooking in the hospital ward.
Dean lay in his bed, watching Jim as he devoured the clams, shrimps, and other seafood. He stared in envy.
Dean gulped and swallowed his saliva. “You’ve had enough. Just give me one more.”
“No way.” Jim shook his head and showed Dean the note that Sage wrote.
“Miss Sage said that since you’ve just had an operation, you’re not allowed to have too much seafood in case of an infection. You have to listen to your doctor.”
Jim spoke as he stuffed the remaining shrimps into his mouth.
Everything was gone. Dean could only watch him eat.
Dean was dissatisfied as he only got to taste a small amount of Sage’s cooking. He sighed,” Can’t believe Miss Sage is such an excellent cook”
Jim cleaned up the garbage, and he exclaimed pridefully, “Of course! Miss Sage’s cooking is fantastic.”
No one was truly her opponent-not even the national banquet chef.
Dean looked up at his brother with suspicion. “You seem to know her very well. Have you tasted her cooking before?”
Upon hearing his brother’s question, Jim nervously dropped the food carrier box on the floor, and it made a clanging sound. Several drops of oil spilled on the ground.
Dean furrowed his brows and thought, ‘He must’ve hid something from me.’
Jim hurriedly picked up the carrier boxes and wiped the floor with kleenex without looking up, and he explained in a small voice, “No, this is the first time I’m tasting her food.”
