A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 306

Chapter 306

Chapter 306 Grandma Yuriel smiled gracefully as she clapped her hands. “Happy birthday, Sage. I wish you happiness always.” Sage replied with teary eyes, “Thank you, Grandma. Please stay healthy as always.”

Grandpa Yuriel came closer to the screen and said, “Hi Sage, I can finally enjoy some cake thanks to your birthday. I don’t get to have cake very often. Happy birthday, sweetheart.”

Sage laughed in response, “Don’t have too much! Take care of yourself, Grandpa. You have to control your diabetic level.”

Freya sat in the wheelchair. She had a blanket embroidered by Sage even though the weather was hot. Her facial expressions were warm and smiley. “Happy birthday, my dear.”

“Thank you, Aunt Freya. I received your precious gift. Why’d you give something so precious

to me?”

Freya smiled in return as she said, “Silly dear, it’s for you. I’d keep everything for you if you like them.” ..

Zachary created a group chat titled ‘Without Jace’. Everyone from the Yuriel family was in there except for Jace. They all sent their birthday wishes to Sage, and no one mentioned Jace at all. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Sage sighed as she read them all. She felt grateful for the love no matter what happened between her and Jace. She always remembered those who treated her well.

Jace knocked on Room 77 at the Skye Hotel. The room had become his and Yoel’s second home. Yoel was seen with a chicken drumstick in his mouth as he opened the door for Jace, and he wore a black loungewear set. His muscles were evident.

| Jace was not interested in men, so it did not excite him at all.

Yoel raised an eyebrow at Jace. “You’re back so early. I’m guessing it didn’t go well then. Did you at least have some cake? Did you even see her?”

Jace walked in, completely ignoring his questions. Fried chicken and beer were placed on the dining table. He frowned. o “Are you trying to gain weight by eating all of this in the middle of the night?” Yoel jumped on the couch and continued eating. “I can only enjoy these while I still have a fast metabolism. You want some?” “No,” Jace rejected profusely. He opened up a bottle of whiskey and carried two glasses. Yoel noticed his wounded hands. “What happened to them?” He continued before Jace could answer. “Are you trying to act pathetic in front of Sage again? Isn’t the trick too old by now?”

“No.”

Jace was not in the mood. Sage would not even look him in the eye lately.

Yoel stopped Jave before he could pour himself a glass. “Why are you drinking with open wounds? Aren’t you worried about infection?”

Jace replied as he poured two glasses of whiskey, “It’s nothing. Come, drink with me.”

Yoel looked at the glass, and it reminded him of something.

He laughed, “Do you remember the time we saved Sage at the Cloud Forest? We barely made it out alive and stole a carton of whiskey from the kidnappers. We were celebrating and finished the entire carton. We got so drunk that our captain made us run in the mountains the next day, and our feet were all blistered…”

Jace recalled it and let out a faint smile. “The carton of whiskey didn’t belong to the kidnappers.”
