A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 278

Chapter 278

Chapter 278 Jim moved his lips to say something, “Miss Sage, do you… hate your photos being taken?”

He thought girls loved taking photos. Jim had seen the girls in his school taking pictures of themselves everywhere they went, with various poses and outfits. However, they often looked bad doing it. “Nope.” Sage added as she saw the confusion on Jim’s face, “I don’t bother taking my own photos.”

“I see,” Jim responded. He thought for a moment and decided to ask the truth. He took out his phone and said, “Can I keep this photo then?” Sage looked over to his phone and saw a photo of them together. The photo was edited to look brighter. She was wearing a white shirt paired with a pale yellow skirt, and the young man beside her wore a white sports tee, smiling brighter than the sun. Sage just realized they had a huge height difference as they stood together. Jim was much taller than her. She never noticed it. Sage sighed a little and immediately realized what was wrong with the photo. “Where’s the rest of the people in this photo? There’s should be a whole team, right?” Jim pursed his lower lips and said, “They were out of focus, so I cut them out of the picture.” Sage looked up at him and said, “Is that so?” Jim nodded sincerely. Sage wanted to laugh in her heart. Only an idiot would believe him.;

This boy sure is full of nonsense. Sage couldn’t bear to expose his secret, so she decided to ignore what he said. “Keep it if you want to.” Sage waved her hands nonchalantly as Jim’s eyes gleamed with delight, she then added, “But, if you see any of your classmates keeping it, please get them to delete it.” “Don’t worry, Miss Sage, I’m the only one who has it!” Jim said it hurriedly without thinking he revealed himself, his face lit red, “Just… don’t worry about it,” he said. Sage laughed, “I’m not worried.” Sage seldom had her photos taken since she was a child. All of the photos were erased by Luther.

Mommy taught her and Luther how to hack into others’ devices. They have been doing it since they were little kids. After all these years, Luther was still responsible for deleting any information about her.

The night was getting dark as the rain stopped. The customers finally left the establishment and all that was left were the staffs that was tasked to close up the restaurant.

The chefs took off their uniforms and were stretching out the aches from their backs.

“Thank you all for your hard work tonight. Here’s a reward for you all.”

Sage said as she handed out envelopes of cash to her staff. With this one gesture, all of them suddenly came back to life and their eyes lit up. Everyone cheered and yelled in excitement. Nothing beats receiving some bonus cash after a long day at work. “Thank you, boss! I love you!”

Sage laughed as she received compliments from her staff. She noticed Jim at the corner.” Come get yours!” she said to him.

Jim smiled, “I’m okay! I’m helping you save some money.”

Everyone jumped at the opportunity to tease Jim, “Hey, that’s why Jim is our boss’s favorite! He’s so sensible!” Sage felt moved from the gesture, but she would not accept such an answer.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
