Chapter 601 She Looks so like Jessie
Chapter 601 She Looks so like Jessie
The lobby manager was still wondering who this pregnant lady was after leading Jessie back into the
private box.
As he had only been working here for three months, he had no knowledge about her relationship with
Leigh. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
But he reckoned it would be a wise choice to leave it behind. After all, it related to the privacy of his
boss.
When the night fell, the neon lights outside the club went on. It was getting bustling with more and more
guests coming back and forth.
When it was about 9:00 PM, a few limousines were parked outside the club.
Leigh was the first to get off, wearing in businessmen-style. They got into the club together with casual
but decent smiles. Then there followed a group.
It took Leigh exactly four months to negotiate about the great project with YC Co., Ltd.. He finally had
the contract concluded this afternoon in the golf course. After that, he brought them here for dinner.
But Leigh didn’t intend to stay. Instead, he told the lobby manager to serve the guests with
entertainment after dinner. As the hotel had been booked, the guests would be escorted there if
needed.
But the manager seemed to feel like continuing while fixing his eyes on Leigh.
“What’s wrong?” Leigh was rendered confused, “Is there anything wrong with my language?”
“No, I am clear. So Mr. Lewis, I will get back to my work now.”
Leigh shrugged and then went into the box where there were his friends.
As soon as he pushed the door open, he heard the sound of crackle and then was covered with
ribbons all over.
Chace walked over to hug him on his shoulder, “Leigh, that’s my man! You actually nailed the contract
with YC!”
“Stop your compliments!” Leigh shook off his hand, “I have your commission transferred to your
account.”
Chace snickered, “Alright, I know you won’t fail me!”
Leigh was tired of the bustling social entertainment here. So he barely came to the blub unless he
needed to do some commercial info exchanges with his business friends.
So they just simply congratulated Leigh. Then they dismissed, scattered at the corners and started
chitchatting as they knew well about him. Commonly speaking, they only got together for business
matter.
However, among those in the box there was a muddleheaded playboy invited by a friend of Leigh, who
didn’t even seem to notice Leigh was talking to Chace. So he simply jumped in their conversation.
The playboy proposed a toast to Leigh with a smile, “Leigh, though we are about the same age, you
appear to be much more talented in business. I gotta learn some finesse from you.”
Leigh frowned, feeling a bit displeased. But he still remained unchanged, clinked the glasses and
replied casually, “Doing business has never been an easy stuff. I have still been groping for the path to
success. Opportunity should be shared, right?”
“Brilliant! Cheers!” the playboy held up the glass and drained it.
Leigh and Chace exchanged a trace of disdain by looking at each other. But they still remained
unspoken and continued with the glass of wine.
However, the playboy seemed to determine to fix his butt on the seat.
He leaned on the couch with his legs crossed while bragging about his father’s business among Leigh
and his friends. He claimed to be in charge of two companies and also a capital flow worth three
hundred million.
While talking, the play boy suddenly asked, “Leigh, why don’t you find yourself a girlfriend after such a
long break-up?”
Leigh showed a sudden change in his eyes but then smiled slovenly, “Oh, are you going to bring a girl
to me?”
“Oh, of course I’d like to. But it depends on you!” the playboy appeared to be more wayward when
noticing that Leigh didn’t seem to be annoyed, “You know what? I have a pretty sister. I am sure you
would like her.”
Chace entered with a glass of wine, “Hey, now it’s time for drink, not time for girls.”
“Nope. Wine only tastes better with girls in your arms.” The playboy didn’t even notice his annoyance,
“Let me bring my sister in!”
While speaking, he took out his phone to text.
Chace glanced at him and continued with the wine. He found it hard to have a nice talk to such a
muddlehead.
He bet this playboy would definitely squander every penny even if he was offered a billion.
“Okay.” Leigh lazily replied while slouching onto the couch, tasting the wine. He smiled, “If she is the
one I want, I will do something to live up to your effort.”
“Are you crazy?” Chace was annoyed and said with low voice, “Why don’t you cut your talk with this
fool?”
Of course Chace could tell Leigh showed no interest in it. However, the playboy still bragged about the
beauty of his sister, having no idea what was going on.
Soon, the door was opened and a pretty lady stepped in.
It was a petite girl with cute face in dark mini-skirt, who looked like in her early twenties.
The girl took off the sunglasses and looked around. Then she stared at the playboy.
“Brother.”
Chace almost dropped his jaw out of shock as soon as he noticed that girl. Even the glass of wine he
was holding fell off from his hand.
Everyone else in the box was also stunned while gasping.
Though the shocking news about Leigh had been banned punctually at that time, it was still widely
spread among the upper class.
But the girl really shocked all of them.
Leigh was also rendered stunned when seeing her face. However, he soon noticed that the girl only
looked alike Jessie from the face but never from the inside.
“Sis, come over here.” The playboy beckoned the girl over and spared her a seat beside. While Leigh
was sitting on her right.
“Leigh, this is my sister.”
Leigh took a glimpse at her and smiled, “Oh, such a pretty girl. May I know your name?”
The girl answered decently with cute voice, “My name is Eliza Thomas. My brother has always talked
about you. Now I finally meet you in the flesh.”
The one who invited the playboy here was about to get him out as he noticed the atmosphere was
getting awkward.
As he just stood up, he saw Chace gestured to him. He soon noticed and sat down again.
He couldn’t help sighing, ‘What a fool!’
“Eliza…” Leigh murmured. He raised his brows, smiled mysteriously, “Your name sounds nice and you
look pretty. And you look like someone I know.”
Eliza tilted her head with a sweet smile, “Really? I am so flattered. I am glad to hear that.”
Chace shifted his eyes off from her, sighing.
Of course he also fancied pretty girls, but the pretentious ones should be excluded.
What was worse, her face hit the taboo of Leigh.
As the playboy noticed that Leigh had been gazing at his sister, he was sure she had captured Leigh’s
heart. He was rendered complacent. So he nudged her toward Leigh and then he moved a bit further
from them.
At the same time, he slightly patted on her hand.
Eliza soon noticed what he meant. She flung her dark hair backward and was about to grab the bottle
of wine on the table, “Mr. Lewis, do you fancy a glass of wine?”
As soon as she touched the bottle, Leigh stopped her.
“We have someone else to serve the wine.” Leigh reached out his hand to pinch her jaw. He stared at
her perfect face and smiled, “You are so pretty.”
He lowered his head to approach. His warm breath fell onto her face, speeding up her heartbeat.
She couldn’t help wondering if she made it so easily.
She leaned against his chest with her eyes closed. Her jaw was still pinched hard. Except for
nervousness, she suddenly felt pain on her face.
The pain spread down from the corner of her left brows and it started to level up bit by bit. It went down
to the lower left of her face and crawled all over her body.
