Chapter 1304 Benjamin Nearly Collapses
Chapter 1304 Benjamin Nearly Collapses
The kids turned to look at the closed restroom door, feeling a twinge of uneasiness.
Arissa was completely unaware of their misdeed and merely thought Benjamin urgently needed to use the restroom.
Even when he still had not come out after a while, she did not think much of it and continued to eat with the children.
Benjamin finally emerged after about ten minutes. His lips were tightly pressed together, and his expression was grim.
Fearing he had food poisoning, he hurriedly asked, “Gavin, are any of you feeling unwell?”
“Nope. What's wrong?” the boy responded, opening his eyes wide open and staring straight at Benjamin without blinking.
Benjamin saw that the children appeared to be fine. Then, he knitted his brows tightly as his stomach started acting up again and quickly dashed back into the restroom, slamming the door shut behind him.
Arissa glanced in his direction, then looked at the children and asked, “Does he have a stomachache?”
Wearing innocent expressions, they shook their heads.
When some time had passed with still no sign of Benjamin coming out, Arissa started getting a little worried. “He has gone to the restroom twice. It seems quite serious. I need to ask Mr. Bailey to come check on him.”
“I think this is the third time, Mommy,” Gavin said softly, a hint of worry creeping into his heart. We thought he'd only have diarrhea a couple of times. We never expected that the prune juice would be so potent! Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
She fixed her gaze on him as it suddenly occurred to her that they had been on the first floor when Benjamin dropped them off. “Are you saying he also had diarrhea on the first floor?
The little ones nodded timidly, which made her even more worried. No wonder Benjamin looked so upset when he came in earlier.
“Benjamin, are you having diarrhea?” she called out toward the restroom.
Not getting any response, she hurriedly sent the children to check on him. “Go check on your daddy while I call Mr. Bailey.”
Having lost their appetite, the children ran toward the bathroom and knocked on the door. “Mr. Graham, are you okay? Mommy is asking if you have diarrhea.”
Inside, Benjamin's handsome face was taut. He was too embarrassed to admit he had a stomachache. “I'm fine. Don't worry.”
The kids looked at each other. How can he say he's fine when he's already had diarrhea three times?
Arissa felt somewhat relieved when she heard his voice. Nonetheless, she still asked for Shaun to come over.
“What's the matter, Arissa?” Shaun rushed over in a panic, thinking something had happened to Arissa. I promised Benjamin I'd take care of her. If something were to happen, he'd never forgive me.
Just then, Benjamin walked out of the restroom, and she quickly said to Shaun, “You need to check on him quickly. He has diarrhea.”
“You have diarrhea?” Shaun looked at Benjamin in surprise, wondering when the latter had returned.
The color was drained from Benjamin's face. Despite having gone to the restroom thrice, he still had an upset stomach and dared not act tough. “Yeah.”
Seeing how pale Benjamin looked, Shaun asked with genuine concern, “How many times has it been, and what did you eat?”
“Three times. I had dinner. They were all things I usually eat...” Benjamin listed out everything he had eaten for dinner after pausing to think.
Shaun also felt the dishes were ones Benjamin often ate and were nothing out of the ordinary. “Did you have anything spicy?”
Arissa turned to look at Benjamin, who furrowed his brows. “No, I didn't.”
“Did you eat anything else?” Shaun asked casually, preparing to run a blood test for Benjamin.
There was a moment's hesitation before Benjamin answered uncertainly, “I had a drink.”
“What drink?” Shaun widened his eyes, surprised.
“Prune juice,” Benjamin replied weakly. His handsome face twitched slightly, and a second later, he disappeared back into the restroom.
Shaun and Arissa were speechless.
Meanwhile, the six kids huddled together, staring at the closed door as a wave of guilt washed over them. They had not expected the effects to be so severe.
Benjamin was nearly exhausted to the point of collapse and only felt much better after taking the medicine Shaun prescribed him.
