Chapter 1765
Chapter 1765
"You can name any price," the foreign businessman continued in broken Draconian. "We've heard you mentioning that the effect of the herb is mystical, as it would prolong a person's lifespan.
"That's why Mr. Bozad sent me I'm sure you're aware of his reputation, so I hope you won't try to pull a con, Mr. Droitner."
"Of course." Huub looked utterly confident. "Mr. Bozad has my assurance that should the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom not work as intended, Droitner Inc. has no qualms going down as punishment."
The foreign businessman nodded in satisfaction, while Huub turned to the other foreign businesspeople. "Esteemed guests, the tour of the exhibition is now over. You may rest at the lodgings I've arranged for you please look forward to Droitner Inc.'s presentation of our new exhibition items tomorrow."
Huub stood in the exhibition hall, watching as the foreign businesspeople left, his eyes flashing coldly.
"Come here." He snapped his fingers.
A goon arrived, bowing respectfully. "Yes, Mr. Droitner?"
"Send someone to Zamri and pressure Helen Lane. Make her force Frank Lawrence to give up the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom. If they don't answer, we will have that brat serve those perverted geezers tonight."
"Yes, Mr. Droitner." The goon nodded and left.
Huub then turned back toward the foreign businesspeople, chuckling coolly. "Magister Boran? Hah! None of you fools would expect that I just made that up."
He returned to his coastal mansion an hour later, with several pretty faces dressed in risque lingerie waiting by his bed.
While he put on his pajamas, ready to relish in the pleasures of debauchery, his phone on the table rang.
He quickly answered, "Yes, Grandpa?"
His grandfather, Paul Droitner, was the current CEO of Droitner Inc. "How did things go with those foreigners?"
Huub laughed coolly as he stroked
the thighs of the lady beside him "They're staying at Windy Moor now, and they couldn't see through the replicas at the exhibition."
"Good."
Paul nodded, pausing before saying quietly, "My boy, you need to be careful. It's fine if you're just tricking a couple of foreign businesspeople, but do not try to play Yohan Bozad. Got it? The man is dying, but he's still a powerful man abroad, and his influence extends across nations.
"On top of that, he has hundreds of men who would prove to be a match even against Draconia's martial elites. Such a man is not to be made light of."
"I know." Huub grinned. "Don't worry, Grandpa-I'll definitely get my hands on the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom."
"Then I'm relieved. You're my only worthy successor in Droitner Inc., my boy."
With those words, Paul hung up.
On the other hand, Huub was still holding his phone as he looked out to the sea beyond the glass wall.
"Oh, Helen..." He grinned in anticipation. "Let's hope you'll all know your place, or you can't blame me for being cruel!"
Even as he remembered Helen's voluptuous figure and her lofty demeanor, he turned to look at the three pretty faces clinging to him.
Immediately finding them a class beneath Helen, Huub actually felt disinterested just then.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
