Anderson’s fingers played with Hailey’s long, glossy

eyes. His fingers habitually caressed the mole benedir as he gazed into her hazy

“Entertaining clients is part of my job.” Hailey tried to keep herself clear–headed,

aware that this was just another trap set by Anderson.

Anderson leaned in closer and breathed heavily on her neck. He loved to tease her in this position.

Hailey knew better than to believe anything Anderson said.

She was only here because Howard had forced her into Anderson’s life out of Renee’s will. Renee’s affair had shattered the Barlow family, driving Gemma away to Jestonville and causing a series of tragic events.

“If you can’t seal this deal tonight, you can return to the PR department tomorrow,” Anderson warned her.

Hailey’s heart turned colder by the moment. “Alright,” she replied.

Anderson’s gaze shifted from her eyes, and he withdrew his hand.

He went to smoke outside. He could hear Hailey’s frightened and desperate voice sounding from the private room. “No, please don’t do this.”

“Hailey, just one last drink. If you drink this, I’ll sign the contract right now. Whether Everton Corporation can break into Candor City is just a matter of my word.” John leered, sliding his hand under her skirt.

Hailey felt a sense of danger but couldn’t react in time. Feeling weak and disoriented, she leaned on John for support as he led her out of the room.

As they reached the corridor, he grinned at Anderson. “Hailey’s had a bit too much. There are still some details about the project we need to discuss. Mr. Barlow, if you don’t mind, I’ll take her with me.”

Anderson replied indifferently, “Of course, I don’t mind.”

John smiled, his face creasing with false amiability. “Great. Mr. Barlow, since you had some drinks tonight, my assistant, Jack, will send you back later.”

Jack Morris replied, “Yes.”

Anderson waved dismissively. “No need. I have other plans. I’ll leave you to it now, Mr. Young.”

As Hailey was forcibly led away, she tried to grasp Anderson’s sleeve, but her fingers slipped. Anderson’s icy gaze followed the Band creeping up her skirt, his eyes cold and unreadable.

Soon after, Shane approached. “Everything set, Mr. Barlow.”

“Mhm,” Anderson responded with a hint of displeasure before stepping into the elevator and heading to the underground parking lot of the club.

Anderson sat in the back seat of the car with his eyes closed, seemingly waiting for something.

After about ten or 20 minutes later, Shane Informed, “Mr. Barlow, something went wrong.”

“Speak!” Anderson ordered.

Shane hesitated before revealing the truth, “When Mrs. Young arrived at the hotel room, John pushed the blame on Ms. Hailey She was beaten, but security intervened.”

“Room number.”

“2506.” It was the best presidential suite at Marquise,

When Anderson arrived, Jennifer Murphy was dragging John out by the ear. As a live- in son–in– law, John’s future looked bleak after this scandal. Anderson pushed open the door, and a strange scent hit him.

“It’s aphrodisiac fragrance oil. John stooped really low this time,” Shane said, holding his breath.

Inside, Hailey lay unconscious. Her top was torn off, and she was wearing only a white lace camisole. Her chest bore red marks, and her stockings were shredded.

In just ten minutes, the room was in shambles, evidence of a brutal struggle. The floor even had a man’s long pants.

Anderson lifted the unconscious and bloodied Hailey from the floor.

“Mr. Barlow, shall we head to the hospital?”
