Chapter 256
Charles did not know which car Naomi was in, so he paid attention to every vehicle.
Naomi took out her phone and sent Charles a message. Charles lowered his head to look at his phone.
[Naomi: Charles, I'm almost there.]
Charles smiled and replied to her message. [Okay.]
Naomi put her phone down. She smiled when she saw Charles smile. She understood what Amelia had said to her just moments ago. She had realized it as well.
After all, she had been through a marriage before. She had a better understanding of her situation.
Charles was perfect for her in every way. She should not pass him up, and she understood that.
The car stopped in front of Charles, who was taken aback. He thought Naomi would be arriving in a taxi. He did not expect to see her in a Mercedes-Benz.
His chest tightened. He sensed danger.
Naomi took her bag and said to the chauffeur, "Don't worry, you can go."
Then, she got out of the car.
"Hey, Charles." Naomi smiled gently as usual. Her expression did not change.
Charles felt relieved. He said gently, "You're done with work?"
"Hmm."
"Shall we head in?" Charles asked as he looked at the old city walls behind him.
Naomi nodded. "Okay."
The chauffeur noticed them walking beside each other through the old city walls. He looked around for a safe place to pull over before taking out his phone to call Dylan. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
Dylan and the others had just arrived at the restaurant. Chandler and the other staff were escorting everyone inside.
When Dylan's phone rang, he told a staff member he needed to take a call before heading in.
The staff understood and went in with everyone else.
Once everyone was inside, Dylan answered the call. "Hello."
"Mr. Quinn, Ma'am would not let me follow her."
Dylan smiled. He was not surprised at all. "Where did you park the car?"
"By the old city walls' entrance. She left with the same man from this morning." The chauffeur explained without Dylan asking.
"Alright, you don't have to follow them. You can go."
"Okay."
Dylan checked the time after hanging up the phone before dialing Jonas' number. Knowing Jonas, he should have gotten some information by then.
Dylan waited patiently for the call to connect.
They were all wealthy heirs. They might appear to have spent the entire day doing whatever they pleased, but that was not the case. They had their own problems and tasks to complete. They were good-for-nothing men.
"Hello." Jonas finally answered the call after four rings.
Dylan smiled and asked, "So? Have you found anything?"
Before Jonas could reply, Dylan said, "Don't tell me you haven't found out anything yet."
Jonas had a vast network of contacts. He only needed a few minutes to find information about someone. Dylan sent him the message several hours ago. He had to have found information by then.
He knew the man in the photograph would be easy to look into since he did not look like an ordinary person.
Jonas moved a piece on his chessboard calmly. He was playing black. "Does Scott know about this?"
Naturally, Jonas was referring to the photograph.
Dylan smiled. "I haven't told him yet. I wanted to understand the situation first."
"Oh," Jonas responded coldly.
Dylan was annoyed. "What the hell do you mean by that? If you have the information, send it to me. I want to see who Scott's love rival is and whether a fight will come."
Jonas picked up a white piece. He was playing against himself. He had not moved his piece. He merely fiddled with the piece in his hand. His eyes gleamed pensively.
"I asked Scott about it."
"What?" Dylan was stunned.
